Northwood Space
HQ Los Angeles, CAFounded 202251-200 employees
Northwood is redefining satellite data transmission by developing ultra-wideband gateway technology designed to enable fast satellite backhaul. Founded in 2023 by Bridgit Mendler, Griffin Cleverly, and Shaurya Luthra, the company aims to revolutionize satellite data transmission by mass-producing ground stations, also known as teleports, which connect to satellites in space. This approach seeks to make the process more efficient and cost-effective, expanding access to space by rethinking shared infrastructure for satellite backhaul.
