“Skarv Technologies has successfully completed a large-scale optical survey in Nordland using the CORAX 600 AUV/ROV system. The survey encompassed a single site covering an area of 40 000 m2 or 10 km video transect with 4 m swath, depths down to 100 m. The 4K video is processed online using Skarv´s data-toolbox to form a georeferenced seamless image mosaic. This high-resolution data is then piped onwards for automated and manual inspection by biologists. Working with high-resolution georeferenced maps instead of video greatly improves interpretation, allowing identification of spatial relationships and features covering multiple frames.”
