About Tunnel Boring Robot (TBR)
The Tunnel Boring Robot scales EarthGrid's plasma-boring technology to tunnelling, with plasma torches in a spinning head that spall and melt rock. In a January 2026 test in a California quarry it bored three metres through granite; the company hopes for commercial deployment in 2027.
