About Melt and Form in Microgravity (MFM)
Flawless Photonics' in-orbit glass-processing service, which uses microgravity aboard the International Space Station to melt, form and draw specialty glasses such as ZBLAN in ways not achievable on Earth. Its compact fiber-drawing module produced more than 11 km of ZBLAN fiber on the ISS in 2024; under ESA's BSGN accelerator (2026) the company is working toward automated, scalable production in LEO.
