About LAU-7
The LAU-7 series is a guided missile rail launcher originally designed for the AIM-9 Sidewinder family and instrumentation pods, with an internal seeker-cooling source and power supply. Variants are integrated on the F/A-18, AV-8B, AH-1W and AH-1Z; the D/A, E/A and F/A variants add digital power supplies for AIM-9X.
