Salient Motion is revolutionizing motion control systems for the aerospace and defense sectors by developing modular, software-driven actuation components. Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Los Angeles, California, the company specializes in integrating software operating systems with advanced hardware to enhance the efficiency and reliability of motors, drivetrains, and other complex components. For decades, the aerospace supply chain has been consolidated, acquired by companies like Transdigm and Heico, who focus solely on cutting costs and raising prices - all betting on the high barrier to entry of FAA certification.
