We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages readers use, so we know what to improve. It sets first-party cookies on defdex.io and records pages viewed, the referring site, your approximate location (country or city) and your browser and device type. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4.

Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalization are switched off. We do not sell or share reader data, and no other third-party scripts run on the site.

Readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked before any analytics cookie is set. Everyone else is measured by default and can opt out at any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out.

Cookie settings lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser, so clearing site data resets it.

If you subscribe to the DefDex Dispatch, we keep your email address to send it and nothing else. Every issue has an unsubscribe link.
