About Savannah River National Laboratory

Savannah River National Laboratory supports DOE’s Office of Environmental Management and national security missions through expertise in nuclear materials, environmental remediation, waste management, hydrogen, and nonproliferation. DOE sponsors the laboratory; Battelle Savannah River Alliance, LLC operates it under contract. SRNL provides research, engineering, and technical services grounded in the needs of the Savannah River Site and broader federal programs. Its core mission areas are national security, environmental stewardship, and energy resilience. SRNL provides applied science, engineering, and technical support for DOE environmental cleanup, legacy management, and NNSA weapons and nonproliferation programs. The Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative on the University of South Carolina Aiken campus gives researchers and partners a dedicated place to develop manufacturing solutions.
