About SpaceX

SpaceX's Starshield offering adapts Starlink-related technology and launch capabilities for national-security uses, initially emphasizing Earth observation, communications and hosted payloads. Starshield includes satellite buses, user equipment and additional security capabilities for government missions. The company’s national-security relevance therefore extends beyond launching spacecraft to building and operating space infrastructure. Starlink commercial service and Starshield government programs should not be treated as the same product or combined without qualification. Public descriptions establish the broad offering, but do not disclose every customer, mission, satellite configuration or contract detail.
