Aerial ISR

Collecting intelligence from aircraft and drones.

Assessment

Case for · why it matters

Drone ISR feeds nearly every Ukrainian targeting decision, and AI now handles much of the footage analysis and target recognition. Software that tasks drones in plain language could cut the operator skill and labor needed for persistent coverage.

Case against · the skeptic’s view

AI is applied piecemeal rather than as full autonomy, and jamming still breaks links and positioning. Many new aerial-intelligence products start in commercial security and industrial markets, with no evidence yet of military use.
