But extraordinary companies are built not just on engineering talent, but on how they treat people—especially the ones considering joining. That’s where you come in. Not a traditional coordinator role As a Talent Coordinator, you won’t manage calendars, you’ll shape the candidate journey and set the tone for what it means to engage with Boom. Working alongside a small, high-performance recruiting team, you’ll help design and run the hiring process for engineers, manufacturing leaders, and other critical hires who will shape the company’s future. You’ll be part of a small, high-performance recruiting team responsible for building one of the most ambitious hardware companies of this century. Every engineer, every manufacturing leader, every critical hire will move through a process you help design and operate. At Boom, coordination is strategic, and you’ll ensure every candidate’s first experience reflects the ambition and excellence of what we’re building. You’ll be the person who ensures that a candidate’s first in-person experience matches the ambition of the machines we’re building. The mission We’re scaling rapidly—particularly across engineering and manufacturing. That means, complex interview loops, travel from around the country, and tight coordination between recruiters, hiring managers, and executives. You will: own scheduling for virtual and on-site interviews, coordinate candidate travel seamlessly, host candidates and guide them through their day, ensure interviewers are well-prepared, maintain pristine data hygiene in our ATS, and anticipate and solve problems before they arise. Expect to be stretched and wear multiple hats: you’ll also be owning projects in addition to coordination, such as improving templates, organizing events along with marketing, etc. You’ll work in close partnership with recruiters who are doing the sourcing and closing work—and selling candidates (even those we end up turning down) is part of everyone’s job. This job is demanding and rewarding The margin for error is low. Attention to detail is non-negotiable. You will manage dozens of moving pieces simultaneously. You’ll need to be structured, proactive, and calm under pressure. You’ll interface with executives, senior engineers, and candidates evaluating life-changing career decisions. If you’re looking for a passive coordination role where “good enough” works, this isn’t it. If you take pride in flawless execution and creating experiences that people remember, keep reading. The primary reward is ownership: you will shape how the world’s top talent experiences Boom. You’ll be well compensated with competitive cash and meaningful equity. More importantly, you’ll build the team that builds history. If that excites you, click apply and let us know why you’re excited. What is it REALLY like to work at Boom? Find out here . Compensation The Base Salary Range for this position is $73,000 - $93,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Most companies take a decade to figure out how to do that. We are doing it differently. At Boom we are building Superpower — a natural gas turbine that fuels our endeavors while unblocking next-gen AI data centers. We are hiring a Head of Supply Chain to own everything from supplier qualification through delivery, and to build the organization that executes it. This is not a role for someone who manages spreadsheets and sends escalation emails. You will get on planes. You will walk shop floors. You will push suppliers harder than they thought possible and know exactly when they are managing you versus when they have a real problem. You have an engineering background and you use it every day. What You'll Do Own the entire supply chain organization — buyers, inventory, logistics, and forward deployed manufacturing engineers — and at least double it this year. Qualify and onboard suppliers across turbomachinery, mechanical systems, and structures. You are not inheriting a finished supply base — you are building it. Negotiate and manage supplier relationships across the full arc: scope, quote, kickoff, first article, production, and recovery when things slip. Structure contracts with incentives that drive the behavior you actually want — on-time delivery, quality, cost reduction. Not just terms that look good on paper. Inform and drive the make vs. buy conversation — bring the supplier data, cost analysis, and lead time reality that the rest of the organization needs to make the right call. Evaluate whether expanding into new geographic regions opens up capability, cost, or lead time advantages — and know how to qualify and manage suppliers in markets you haven't worked in before. Deploy forward deployed manufacturing engineers to critical suppliers and know when to go yourself. Set the standard for supplier performance. Define the metrics, run the reviews, and make the hard calls when a supplier isn't cutting it. Build the program infrastructure that gives the rest of the company real visibility into supply chain health — schedule, risk, and escalation — in an environment where that infrastructure doesn't fully exist yet. Work directly with the Build Engineer organization to close the loop between what gets designed and what can actually be built. Raise the bar on everyone around you. You Probably Have An engineering background. You have designed or built something and that informs how you operate today. A track record of getting suppliers to do things they said couldn't be done. Experience building and scaling a team in a high-pressure environment. Scars from a program that was on fire and the instinct to run toward it, not away from it. You Will Thrive Here If You would rather get on a plane than send an email. You know the difference between a supplier who has a real problem and one who is making excuses — and you know what to do with both. You ask for forgiveness, not permission. We are not the right place for supply chain leaders who have spent their careers in a single lane at a large company. We are exactly the right place for someone who has been the most technically credible, most aggressive person in every room they've walked into — and wants to do that at a company building something that matters. At most companies, this is called a facilities job and you hire a bunch of outsourced real estate and construction contractors. It's a low-status non-strategic role. Everything costs a ton and progresses glacially. At Boom, our physical infrastructure is a first class citizen. You will push the envelope technically and politically on building amazing infrastructure quickly and efficiently. We take our factories as seriously as our engines and airplanes. You'll build America's most vertically-integrated aviation and energy company, down to pouring our own concrete for the factory where we will pour our own alloy to make our own blades for our own engine which powers our own airplane. What You'll Do Own the full lifecycle of site acquisition, permitting, design, and construction for factories, test sites, and future campuses. If it gets built, you own it. Define the site strategy — what gets built where, in what order, and to what specification — and drive alignment with program and leadership. Challenge requirements before executing them. If a program constraint is creating an infrastructure bottleneck, you surface it and propose alternatives. Nothing is sacred. Manage GCs, subcontractors, and construction vendors — and evaluate on a rolling basis whether key capabilities should stay external, move in-house, or be acquired outright. Own utility strategy: power substations, natural gas, water, data. If the utility doesn't exist, evaluate whether Boom should build it. Navigate local politics, permitting, and regulatory relationships as a first-person owner — not a delegator. County commissioners, planning departments, utility providers. You clear the path. Treat capital as a tool. Know when to spend aggressively to unlock disproportionate value, and when to hold the line. Structure incentives that make contractors want to hit your timeline as much as you do. Build the creative vision for how Boom constructs its physical footprint — not just executing a plan someone else wrote, but authoring one that no one has seen before. Lead and develop a flat, high-output team. Set the standard and raise the ceiling. You probably have A track record of building large-scale physical infrastructure — factories, launch sites, substations, industrial facilities — from greenfield or near-greenfield under real time and cost pressure. Direct accountability for construction programs in the $10M–$100M+ range. First-person experience navigating permitting, utility negotiations, and local politics — not managing someone who did it. An instinct for vertical integration. You've asked \"should we just own this?\" and followed through on the answer. Scars from a build that was on fire and the instinct to move faster, not slower. You will thrive here if You would rather be on the site than in a meeting about the site. When everyone else sees a wall, you see a design problem. You ask for forgiveness, not permission. Your first instinct when a subcontractor slips is not to update the schedule — it's to go figure out why and fix it. We are not the right place for facilities managers, corporate real estate professionals, or operations leaders whose instinct is to outsource the hard parts. We are exactly the right place for someone who has built things that looked impossible on paper — and wants to do that at a company building something that matters. The process exists, the templates are built, the checklist is handed over. Here, the function is still maturing while the business is moving. You will be expected to both execute core accounting work reliably and improve the systems around it in real time. Some processes will be undocumented. Some cycles will require triage. You will be expected to think, not just execute. The mission Boom’s development of Overture will change how the world moves. The immediate development of the Superpower turbine will ensure we have the capital to make it happen. But none of this development happens without the financial infrastructure to support it. This role owns the general ledger and supports financial reporting — the foundation every investment decision, capital raise, and growth milestone is built on. Without reliable close and reporting execution, the company cannot scale responsibly or pursue the ambitions that make Boom worth working for. What You’ll Do Execute month-end close end-to-end — journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance explanations — every balance traceable, documented, and explainable at a business-driver level Support financial reporting and audit readiness by maintaining clean, well-documented workpapers and supporting schedules Identify recurring issues and manual workarounds and actively work to reduce or eliminate them, including through automation and AI tools Research, evaluate, and account for complex accounting areas and transactions, including equity, investments, interest, taxes, etc., resolving questions with confidence and clarity Manage and support the accounting systems and associated projects Support procurement, facilities, and legal teams through expert knowledge of the systems and great working relationships The job is demanding and rewarding Close and financial reporting cycles are time-pressured, and precision is non-negotiable even when things get messy. Some processes will be incomplete when you arrive. Unexpected issues will surface mid-close, and you will be expected to triage them independently. You will also balance close with other projects and company priorities — that is the nature of a lean, scaling team. What you get in return is rare. Your contribution is directly visible, the work materially impacts how the business operates, and the development trajectory is steep. If you want to execute inside a fully built machine, this is not the role. If you want to build something, develop fast, and become a cornerstone of a team supporting one of the most ambitious engineering programs in the world, this is an unusually high-value seat. What You Bring To The Table 3-6 years of experience including public accounting start preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills Passion for working in a high paced environment and constantly learning through exposure to new areas Excellent initiative and ability to analyze, question and summarize data for decision making Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills Experience interacting with upper management and operations personnel Strong inclination to prepare for and comply with deadlines around the monthly close cycle Ability to work within multiple systems including GL, PO, invoice processing system, etc. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Aptitude to be responsive and helpful, both within the department and to other departments Ability to work in a changing environment, with a desire to identify and own regular improvements Proficiency with spreadsheets and modern productivity tools, including AI-assisted tools Why Boom This is a chance to build something real and own meaningful portions of the accounting operation. The work is demanding, the environment is fast, and the expectation is high. But the scope of impact is significant, the trajectory is real, and you will be part of a small, high-functioning team building the financial foundation of supersonic flight and next-generation turbine technology. If that excites you, click apply and tell us why. What is it REALLY like to work at Boom? Find out here . Compensation The Base Salary Range for this position is $87,000 - $130,000 per year.
