Avoiding a misleading mixed-fleet average

The SAR’s headline operating average combines transfer docks and sea bases. The explanatory calculation gives $40.7M annually for an ESB and $30.4M for an ESD in FY2011 dollars. This page uses the ESB-specific estimate.

Contracts & purchasing · 1

Ceilings, options and purchase agreements are not spending and are never added together. Obligations are under Contracts.
