Superseded estimates and prices, each in its original scope and dollar basis.

1Annual program funding in the cited budget vintage; not a unit price, contract award, or actual delivery count.

A2 and A3 must not share a headline price

The FY2025 line supports M88A2 and M88A3 technical services and modifications. Its vehicle quantities are explicitly provisional pending negotiations.

A broader sustainment scope drives apparent cost growth

GAO reports 94% O&S growth versus the prior estimate: the newer review added A1 to A2, extended economic life, and included previously omitted costs. It does not establish an A2-only annual bill.

Contracts & purchasing · 1

Ceilings, options and purchase agreements are not spending and are never added together. Obligations are under Contracts.

Open research: Buyer records are selected examples, not a complete global order book. Current U.S. inventory requires additional public evidence; procurement quantities are not inventory. Complete system-specific annual operating and support costs were not established. A lifetime R&D total was not established; contract and annual funding scopes remain separate.
