Modular equipment needs a defined cost denominator

The manufacturer describes NASAMS as a modular system with command, sensor and launcher elements and multiple compatible missile options. U.S. use in Washington dates to 2005, but a verified U.S. battery count and comparable battery price are not established here.

Currency and system configuration matter

The Danish contract is denominated in euros. NASAMS combines fire distribution, launchers, sensors and missiles; comparing the whole package with a U.S. missile unit figure would mix scopes.

Ceilings, options and purchase agreements are not spending and are never added together. Obligations are under Contracts.

Open research: Current U.S. inventory and complete annual operating-and-support costs require additional public evidence. Buyer records are selected examples, not a complete global order book.
