Brushless electric motors
Electric motors used in drone propulsion and actuators; most use NdFeB magnets.
Constraint
Why supply is constrained
Small-drone motors are mostly built with Chinese NdFeB magnets and often in China, so drone mass-production plans inherit the magnet bottleneck. The Army's SkyFoundry initiative picked Vulcan Elements in 2026 to supply domestic magnets for its drone motors.
