Small lots change the average

Aircraft production cost and support-inclusive weapon-system cost diverge when common support is spread over a small lot. The FY2027 line carries support funding with no new aircraft quantity, so it has no meaningful new-aircraft unit price.

Open research: Figures retain the date and scope of the original source. A historical count, cumulative delivery or procurement plan is not today’s mission-capable inventory. A dated, variant-specific U.S. fleet count has not been verified.
