Program totals span changing ship configurations

The SAR adds expeditionary medical ships to its planning quantity. Do not treat every hull in that historical 19-ship estimate as an identical Spearhead transport or a delivered ship.

Source table and narrative need different treatment

The O&S narrative explicitly identifies millions of dollars; a nearby unitized table is labeled thousands. This page uses the explicit narrative and does not reconstruct an ambiguous total.

Contracts & purchasing · 1

Ceilings, options and purchase agreements are not spending and are never added together. Obligations are under Contracts.
